He completed post-doctoral training at Dartmouth (NH, USA) on Staphylococcus aureus gene regulation and at Cornell (NY, USA) on Pseudomonas aeruginosa gene expression. He has several years as a research scientist in R&D at a biotech company in Madrid and had his own biotech start-up project at Cambridge (U.K.).

 She was graduated as a medical doctor from the Medical University of Sofia. Dr. Velikova got a Ph.D. in immunology with her work entitled “Investigation of immunological parameters for intestinal inflammation in order to establish new markers for diagnosis and follow up of Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients”. She has published many scientific articles, been both editor and reviewer of several international peer-reviewed journals, and won many awards and prizes.

David Wade

David Wade obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers University), in the USA, and did postdoctoral work with Bruce Merrifield (1984 Nobel, Chemistry) at Rockefeller University in New York City, for Michael Smith (1993 Nobel, Chemistry), in the Canadian Protein Engineering Network of Centres of Excellence, and with Sten Orrenius, former chair of the Nobel Committee, and others at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. Wade has also taught chemistry and biochemistry at all levels of higher education in the USA and elsewhere.
